On December 2nd, former EXO member Tao shared exciting news on Weibo, announcing his marriage with the caption “Goal achieved” and posting several photos to commemorate the moment.
The images revealed Tao holding a Chinese marriage certificate, known as a buzheng, alongside actress Xu Yiyang, his now-wife and longtime partner. In China, this certificate signifies the completion of official marriage registration.
Xu Yiyang, a former member of SM Rookies, first gained recognition in 2016 when introduced alongside aespa’s Ningning. She later debuted in 2019 as part of the Chinese group Legal High, further cementing her place in the entertainment industry.
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in July through heartfelt Weibo posts. By August, Tao had proposed to Xu Yiyang, marking a significant milestone in their love story.
Tao, who originally debuted with EXO in 2012, departed from the group in 2015. He has since been actively pursuing his career in China.
