Only a portion of the musical is featured in the Wicked film

Only a portion of the plot of the original musical is covered in the "Wicked" film, which opens in theaters on Friday.

The Broadway production's initial film hasn't been explicitly promoted as a two-part franchise.

The artistic introduction of "Underhanded" is now the same length as the Broadway unique, yet just covers half of the show's plot.

The head of 'Underhanded' and its spin-off, Jon M. Chu, declared in April 2022 that the film transformation would be parted into two motion pictures delivered in 2024 and 2025.
